Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🐾 Meet Sir Zeus 🐾
Your dapple-coated dreamboat with one piercing blue eye and a heart of gold 💙
This 7-year-old Great Dane/Hound mix is the perfect blend of playful and mellow. At 73 lbs, his foster mom affectionately calls him her “Pocket Dane” — all the love of a gentle giant in a huggable, house-friendly size.
✨ Walks on a leash like a champ
✨ Snuggles like a pro
✨ Prances like a gazelle
✨ Looks like royalty (we’re pretty sure that’s why he was named Sir!)
✨ Nicknamed Zeusie because he’s just that cute
Zeus found himself in a shelter when his previous owner could no longer care for him. It’s clear he was once a cherished family member — he’s completely housebroken, takes treats gently, and will sit and wait for permission before eating. He’s also content to lie quietly at your feet during mealtime, never begging — just happy to be near his people.
Zeus has never met a stranger. He’s incredibly social and thrives on human connection, always ready to lean in for affection or rest his head on your lap. Whether it’s a walk, yard time, or movie night, Zeus just wants to be with his people and make them smile.
When it comes to other pets, Zeus would do great as an only dog, or with a tolerant dog around his size who matches his playful energy. His enthusiasm during play can sometimes be a bit much for more laid-back companions, so a dog who appreciates a spirited playmate would be ideal. No cats or small dogs for Zeus.
With structure, consistency, and a whole lot of love, Zeus will be your loyal, goofy, cuddle-loving best friend for life.
💙 Friendly, social, and incredibly people-focused
🐾 Fully housebroken & leash trained
🍽️ Gentle with treats and respectful at mealtime (no begging!)
🐶 Best as an only pet or with a playful, tolerant dog his size — no cats or small dogs
