My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Maggie 🐾
Breed: Australian Shepherd Mix
Age: ~9–12 years
Weight: 39 lbs

Maggie is a gentle, easygoing sweetheart who wins everyone over with her calm nature and soft eyes. She’s friendly with dogs of all sizes, well-mannered in the home, and loves nothing more than being near her people.

At 39 pounds, she’s the perfect medium-sized companion: easy to walk, easy to love, and always ready for a cozy nap. Maggie came to us after her previous owner could no longer care for her, and she’s been a total gem in foster care.

She may be a senior girl, but she’s in wonderful shape and still enjoys short walks, snacks, and snuggles.

✅ Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped
✅ Heartworm negative

More about this rescue

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.

Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
