Meet Lady Mae!

About 2 years old, and around 40 lbs….

You may remember Lady Mae from our earlier posts. Her story started off rough—she was taken away from her puppies when they were only a few weeks old, and adjusting to shelter life was very hard on her. But this resilient girl has come such a long way.

Lady Mae recently had a foster-to-adopt trial. While it didn’t work out (through no fault of anyone), it gave us valuable insight: Lady Mae can be protective of the people she loves. Considering her past—losing her babies and being left all alone—it’s no surprise she wants to keep her people close and safe.

To help her shine, Lady Mae just completed six weeks of Mind Your Manners training at Cold Nose Companions—and she excelled! She’s smart, eager, and so ready for the right home.

Lady Mae is looking for a patient, understanding adopter—someone with a quieter lifestyle who will give her the consistency and love she deserves. In return, she’ll be the most loyal companion you could ever ask for.
She recently spent time in a volunteer’s home where she played, snuggled on the couch, and enjoyed a lovely walk with the family. She did wonderfully!
