My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Finch! 🐾

Finch is a soulful-eyed sweetheart with a gentle spirit and a heart full of hope. This handsome guy might look a little unsure in his kennel, but don’t let that fool you—he’s just waiting for the right person to show him the world isn’t so scary after all.

Finch is a mixed-breed boy with a striking coat and a soft, sensitive personality. He’s not the in-your-face, tail-wagging tornado type—he’s more of a “let’s sit quietly and get to know each other” kind of dog. Once he warms up, you’ll have a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to lean on you (literally and emotionally).

🦴 Finch is:
• Dog-friendly
• A calm and observant gentleman
• Hoping for a quiet, patient home where he can blossom

He’s the kind of dog who won’t just be your pet—he’ll be your heart dog. Come meet Finch and let him show you how special a soft, slow love can be.

More about this shelter

Pauls Valley Animal Welfare Society a 501c3 was formed to improve the problems of disease, overpopulation & abandonment of stray animals in Garvin County.
Our organization is made up of over 300 members who care about animals. It is an eclectic group varying in race, age, economic and professional levels and religious affiliations. We are, however, single-minded when confronting our community problems of animal cruelty and neglect, overpopulation and the humane treatment in which our strays and homeless dogs and cats are housed. Our goal is to relieve their suffering, do everything in our power to find them homes and provide a decent animal shelter for Garvin County.
