My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carnitine is a handsome, brindle-coated mixed-breed boy with soulful eyes that quietly ask for a chance. He’s the kind of dog who may seem a little unsure at first, but once he knows he’s safe, you can see the sweetness shine through. There’s a gentle curiosity about him—watching, learning, and taking everything in as he figures out this big world.

He has a calm presence and an expressive face that tells you exactly what he’s thinking. Carnitine would do best with a patient adopter who understands that some of the best dogs aren’t loud about their love—they grow it slowly and deeply. With consistency, kindness, and a little time, he’s going to be a loyal companion who bonds closely with his person.

If you’re looking for a dog who doesn’t need to be the center of attention but will quietly become the center of your world, Carnitine might just be your perfect match.

More about this shelter

Pauls Valley Animal Welfare Society a 501c3 was formed to improve the problems of disease, overpopulation & abandonment of stray animals in Garvin County.
Our organization is made up of over 300 members who care about animals. It is an eclectic group varying in race, age, economic and professional levels and religious affiliations. We are, however, single-minded when confronting our community problems of animal cruelty and neglect, overpopulation and the humane treatment in which our strays and homeless dogs and cats are housed. Our goal is to relieve their suffering, do everything in our power to find them homes and provide a decent animal shelter for Garvin County.
