Breeder release, Ernie, is new to the OMD Rescue crew and eagerly seeking his forever best friend. In fact, he’ll even take a temporary best friend aka a foster.
- 1.5 years
- 85 lbs.
- TBD If house trained but we anticipate he’ll need some time to learn as this will be his first time in an actual home
- Timid / nervous with new people and situations
- Older kids due to his initial uncertainty
- Likes dogs but initially a bit hump-y (we think upcoming neuter will help but foster families should be able to go-slow and separate if needed)

Home Check

Once an applicant is determined to be a good possible fit for the specific dog, we move forward with a home visit.

3.
Meet the Pet

Once an application is fully approved (application review, reference checks, and home visit conducted) a meet & greet is scheduled.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

An adoption is finalized with the signed contract and adoption fee ($500 for puppy and adult dogs, $350 for seniors)

5.
Pay Fee

Additional adoption info

One More Dog Rescue (OMD), formerly Ruff Start Happy Tails, requires all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application and agree to a home visit prior to any adoption. Once the application is approved, a meet and greet will be scheduled between the potential adopter (s) and the dog.

When a dog is adopted through One More Dog, an adoption contract must be signed, and we ask that a donation in the amount of $500 ($350 for seniors) be made at the time of adoption to help our rescue cover a portion of the costs we incur through pull fees, vetting, and training.
