My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Georgetown, and let me tell you—I am quite the character. I’m a big boy with an even bigger personality, and I love making my people laugh with my goofy antics and charm. I always want to be right where the action is, so wherever you go, I’ll be trotting behind to make sure I don’t miss a thing.

I’ve got a very expressive meow, and I’m not shy about using it when I’m hungry or need a little attention. I had a rough start in life, so my tummy is a bit sensitive. I need a prescription diet, which is why I am a Priority Pet!

I’ll admit—I’m still working on my litter box skills. I’m great about peeing in the box, but for pooping… well, I prefer just outside of it. Puppy pads are my friend! I promise I’m trying, and I appreciate the patience.

I get along well with other easy-going cats, but if another kitty gets spicy with me, I may get a little sassy right back—I like to think of myself as the boss. I’m not sure how I feel about dogs, and I probably wouldn’t be the best fit for young children since I like to playfully chase legs (it’s cute, I swear, but not everyone agrees).

If you’re an experienced cat person who doesn’t mind a big personality, a little extra quirkiness, and a whole lot of affection, I’m your guy. I’ve had a tough beginning, and I’m ready for someone who will help me finish growing up safe, loved, and understood. Stick with me, and I’ll be your loyal, silly best friend forever.

More about this shelter

Pawmetto Lifeline, formerly Project Pet, was founded in 1999. Since the opening of our adoption, medical, and boarding facility in Spring 2012, we have been able to save more than 15,000 companion pets from euthanasia and gave them a new lease on life. We continue to strive toward the goal of a no-kill community and state through adoption, pet retention, rescue partnerships, and medical services.
