Anaka is a beautiful 2-year-old Labrador mix who was found as a stray on 6/12/25. Young, smart, and full of potential, she’s ready to find a patient, active adopter to help her settle into her forever home.
* Personality & Temperament -Needs time to build trust—warms up at a slow to moderate pace. -Energetic and intelligent—loves activities that keep her mind and body busy. -Slightly nervous in new situations but always willing to try.
* Compatibility -Kids: Best with children over 10 who can respect her space. -Dog interactions are recommended. Has not been dog tested due to needing a spay. -Cats: Unknown at this time.
* Enrichment & Training Needs -Thrives with daily exercise, walks, and structured playtime. -Positive reinforcement training recommended to help her gain confidence. -Nosework and puzzle toys would be great for both mental and physical stimulation. -Fit for an Easy Walk Harness to help with leash skills.

We are happy to keep your information on file and work with you to the best of our ability to help you find the perfect pet. Adoption fees are $60.00 this includes, spay or neuter, microchip, worming, some vaccinations, and heartworm test for. We offer a feline leukemia test for $15.00 non refundable at the time of adoption.

Our Animal Control Officers work throughout St. Charles County to protect animals and people and educate animal owners about responsible pet ownership. At our Pet Adoption Center, we take in strays for safe keeping until their owners come to claim them. We offer microchipping services to the public during our regular business hours.
