Finley is a 7-year-old Lab mix who was surrendered to PAC on 11/7/25. Despite the changes in his life, he has shown himself to be a friendly, people-loving dog with a naturally social personality. He enjoys interacting with both people and toys, and his medium energy level makes him a great match for families who want a dog who can play, explore, and then settle in for downtime.
In his previous home, Finley struggled living with a very young, high-energy dog, and the two eventually began to no longer get along. Because of this, he will need a structured, stable home with clear expectations and good management. He may potentially do well with another dog, but only if they are older, have a compatible play style, and proper introductions are done. Finley was introduced to Jolene and it went well — they had nice interactions outside and brief, polite moments while leashed — but careful matching will be important for his success.
Finley would do best with children older than 12, simply because he thrives in a calmer, more predictable environment. A fenced yard is recommended so he can safely get the physical activity he enjoys.
Finley is affectionate, social, and happiest when he’s with his people. With the right home — one that provides structure, routine, and thoughtful introductions — Finley will make a loving and loyal companion.
