My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***Adoption Fee WAIVED***

Macho Man, reporting for cuddle duty! With my dashing Merle coat and linebacker build, I might look like I just walked off a movie set - but spoiler alert: I'm really just a big ol' softie disguised as a tough guy. Think muscle on the outside, marshmallow on the inside. My hobbies include full-body snuggles, dramatic flop-overs for belly rubs, and making humans melt with my puppy-dog eyes.

I'm also a professional snack enthusiast and recently started mingling with the dog crowd - turns out, I might just be a social butterfly in a bodybuilder's bod. If you're looking for a swoon-worthy sidekick with a heart of gold and a serious love for lounging, I'm your man. Macho Man, to be exact.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
