My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jeremiah - Your New Best Friend!

"Jeremiah was a bullfrog?" 🎵 Not this time! Our Jeremiah is a stunning brindle pitbull with a heart as big as his smile. Handsome, sweet, and full of love, Jeremiah is the kind of dog who makes friends wherever he goes.

Where did he come from? We may never know for sure. What we do know is that one day, a kind motorist stopped to check on him - and Jeremiah happily hopped right into their car as if to say, "Sure, I need love and a home!" That leap of faith brought him to us, and now our mission is to help him find his true forever family.

Jeremiah is playful, affectionate, and always ready for a new adventure. Whether it's going for walks, chasing toys, or snuggling up after a long day, this fun-loving pup is sure to bring joy to your life.

He's waiting for someone to open their heart and home - could that be you?

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
