HISTORY:
Fidget literally had only a few hours left on the euthanasia list at a rural shelter. Our volunteer just had to pull this beautiful chiweenie into rescue. Fidget's front leg has fused joints and is non-functional. We don't know whether it was congenital or an old injury, for we know nothing of his history. His shoulder muscles are atrophied, and our vets will evaluate for the best course of action to avoid any potential complications.
Fidget did well at his first adoption event and handled dogs, cats and lots of noise and people well. He seems well on his way to become a confident, well-socialized dog. He'd only been with foster mom a day, and he had bonded strongly with her. We are sure he will quickly adjust to any loving family. We are guessing he's probably 3-5 years old.
WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs.
If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name.
Adoption fee of $440 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.
We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible.

We were founded in 2002. We are all volunteers and we have no physical facility. All animals stay in their foster homes until they are adopted.
