Butterbean was pulled into rescue when his family got overwhelmed with the number of dogs they had and reached out for help. His favorite game is fetch, where his competitive nature emerges. Butterbean loves his stuffies and is rarely without a toy in his mouth. His superpower is "dancing" for treats.
He can sometimes be a bit temperamental while in the crate, but overall is a sweet and loving boy, once he gets to know you.
He is the perfect size for carrying, is crate-trained and rides well in the car. Recently discovered is his passion for watermelon!
WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs.
If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name.
Adoption fee of $340 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.
We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible.

We were founded in 2002. We are all volunteers and we have no physical facility. All animals stay in their foster homes until they are adopted.
