**Meet Nivens** **Surrendered due to unplanned rabbit litters**
At just under 3 months old, Nivens is already bursting with personality! This baby bunny was part of a large group of rabbits surrendered after her previous owner became overwhelmed with unexpected litters. Despite her young age, Nivens has already charmed staff and volunteers with her goofy, fearless energy and curious spirit.
---
**My Ideal Home** Nivens is an active, social bunny who will thrive in a home where she can explore and interact with her people daily. A spacious, bunny-proofed setup is a must-she's constantly on the move and loves climbing, zooming, and investigating everything (especially your shoes!). She'd do well with an adopter ready to provide enrichment, time outside of her pen, and plenty of love as she grows into a confident adult rabbit.
---
**Good with Kids?** Yes! Nivens is very friendly and has no concept of personal space-in the best way. Her playful nature makes her a fun companion for older, respectful children who understand how to safely interact with a young rabbit.
---
**Good with Other Pets?** Nivens hasn't been observed with other pets yet. She may do well with another bunny in the future, but any introductions should be slow and supervised. As always, rabbits should be kept separate from cats, dogs, or other animals that may see them as prey.
---
**Litter Box Trained?** Nivens is still a baby and learning, but she's well on her way! Rabbits generally become more consistent with litter habits after spay/neuter surgery, which she'll be ready for soon. With time and patience, she'll be a clean little house bunny.
---
**Overall Health** Nivens is growing steadily and has been examined by our vet team. She's microchipped, healthy, and currently weighs just over 3 pounds. She'll be spayed when she's old enough and continues to thrive in the shelter setting.
---
**Behavior Determination: Other** In a word: delightful. Nivens loves people, attention, and especially your shoelaces. She's inquisitive, playful, and always the first to run over when someone enters the room. Her affectionate, bold nature makes her a great match for someone looking for an interactive rabbit buddy.
---
**Fun Facts**
* Nivens has a shoe obsession-you've been warned! * She'll happily hop right into your lap...or your face. She's still working on boundaries. * Volunteers say she's "hilarious" and "inquisitive," and watching her play is guaranteed entertainment.
---
**Before You Adopt a Rabbit...** Rabbits aren't low-maintenance pets-they need daily cleaning, enrichment, time out of their pens, and a special diet rich in hay and fresh greens. Nivens may be small now, but she's growing fast and needs a home ready for the long-term commitment rabbits require. With the right care, she'll reward you with binkies, snuggles, and endless laughs.
If you're ready for a curious, comical companion, Nivens is ready to hop into your heart! 🐰❤️
