My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Winslow is a shy but sweet gentle giant who just wants to be loved. His anxiety and fear of companionship may cause you to over look him but if you give him a chance he will melt your heart. He does cute playful hops when he’s excited and wants to follow you around the house while you do chores and cook and wants to be a cuddle bug right next to you on the couch when you sit down to binge your favorite show. I believe Winslow would do best in a home with another dog his size or medium size who can play with him. That being said I have small and medium size dogs and a cat as well and he has done well with them and having another dog will help him come out of his shell more. He is learning more commands and knows kennel well but needs training on leash and car rides are a little nerve cracking for him. He’s a work in progress but has so much potential to be the best dog!

CARE STL is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that serves as the established, No-Kill animal shelter for the City of St. Louis Animal Care and Control. We provide animal regulation services and help the city enforce Title 10 of the City of St. Louis Ordinance relevant to animal care and control; however, CARE STL also enforces and embraces the No-Kill equation and follows the guiding principles of no-kill shelters.
