Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Oscar Meyer is a 3.5 year old Dachshund mix with soulful eyes and a sensitive heart. After spending time in a foster home, he’s found himself back at the shelter and is hoping his next stop is truly forever. Oscar can be unsure with new people and needs a little time to warm up, but once he feels safe, his gentle and dainty personality shines through. He walks nicely on leash and enjoys calm companionship. He isn’t much interested in toys or playtime right now, he seems to prefer quiet connection over chaos. Oscar does have some resource guarding around food, so he’ll need an experienced adopter who understands how to manage this and help him continue building positive habits. He would do best in a home with teens and up who can respect his space. Oscar Meyer may be a little unsure at first, but with patience, structure, and understanding, he has all the potential to be a loyal little companion. He’s just waiting for someone to see the sweet dog behind those cautious eyes.
