Meet Cheesy Bread!

Cheesy Bread is a delightful 9-year-old lady with the sweetest soul and a personality that shines brighter every day. She joined us back in May from an overcrowded living situation, and at first, she was understandably frightened. We soon discovered her fear came from severe dental pain — including significant gingivitis and fractured canines.

After receiving the dental care she desperately needed, Cheesy Bread blossomed into a whole new cat! She’s now affectionate, outgoing, and proudly quirky in all the best ways. One of her favorite spots is perched on her foster mom’s radio, where she enjoys bird-watching through the window and occasionally changing the music station to suit her personal taste.

While she isn’t quite a lap cat yet, Cheesy Bread shows her love through gentle headbutts and soaking up neck and chin scratches. This sweet senior girl is ready for someone to scoop her up and make her golden years truly special.

If you’re looking for a loving companion with charm, character, and a heart of gold, Cheesy Bread may be your perfect match.

Additional adoption info

The time it takes to process an application largely depends on the speed at which we are able to contact personal references. If approved, we go over an adoption contract that the adopter will sign, and it is at this time that an adoption fee is required. If an adoption does not work out for any reason, our adoption contract requires that the kitty be returned to Furrever Friends Rescue and Volunteers, Inc.

More about this rescue

We are a foster-based no-kill cat rescue that is working to better the lives of cats in Gloucester and Camden Counties. We do not euthanize any of the animals in our care simply to make room for new ones. Although our operation is small, each and every homeless pet in our program receives the absolute best care possible until a furrever home can be found.
We are small... but mighty. Every animal saved is a victory.
Furrever Friends Rescue and Volunteers, Inc. (FFRV) is an all-volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit that strives to save the lives of homeless animals.

Furrever Friends operates entirely on donations from caring individuals such as yourself. And, because Furrever Friends is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, your cash donations are tax-deductible. Checks can be made out to "Furrever Friends."

Our volunteers work hard to:
-Provide safe, loving care in foster homes until a furrever family can be found.
-Spay/neuter and vaccinate pets prior to adoption to help control the pet overpopulation problem.
-Find new Furrever Homes for animals only after carefully screening potential adopters.
-Raise funds through special events and projects to cover veterinary and food costs.
-Fund emergency medical care to injured or abused animals in the FFRV program through "Geronimo's Fund".
-Showcase homeless animals at various venues to help find them homes, including our PetSmart Adoption Center in Deptford, NJ.
