Meet Charlie
Charlie’s story is one of resilience and love. Rescued from the Queens ACC after being found tied outside in the snow, he came to us with the shelter name Eyvindr—but to us, he’s simply Charlie.
At under 2 years old, Charlie still has so much to learn and give. What he really needs right now is a dedicated foster or adopter who can continue working with him so he can thrive.
Charlie is a stunning, lovable boy who shines with structure and guidance. He does best with older kids and can feel uneasy around younger ones. He’ll need someone patient but firm, who can set boundaries and help him with impulse control.
He can be protective of his belongings, so that requires gentle management—but Charlie also has a wonderful social side! He’s playful, enjoys doggy friends, and loves being part of the action.

We adore Charlie, but he cannot reach his full potential without the support of a foster or forever home. Could that be you?
All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary.
Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies.
Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England.
Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada.
