Boomerang is an adventure guy- check out these notes from a volunteer: We had a great time with Boomerang on a hike around Lake Needwood (5 miles), and then hanging out on a nice autumn day. Below is a summary of what we learned about Boomerang!
He is good-natured, enthusiastic and adventurous pup who is a pleasure to be with. His tail is always wagging, and his energy is contagious! He enjoys a long hike where he can experience the sights, sounds, and (especially!) scents of the woods and fields. Crossing a stream? Jumping over a log? Boomerang says “Bring it!” But he is equally happy to take a rest break on a bench or a blanket, leaning into his humans, observing the activity around him, and returning pets and back scratches with lots of kisses!
Boomerang appears to know some basic commands like “Sit” and “Come” and responds well to treats. During walks, he is very well-mannered when it comes to passing other dogs and humans – curious but not insistent on meeting. When taking new paths, he might set a brisk pace because he’s eager to explore.
Boomerang would be a great fit for an active person or family – give him love and time to learn, and in return you’ll get a loyal and devoted companion.
