My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carla is a sweet and snuggly dog. She is still quite young and plays endlessly with her puppy foster brother. However, she loves all the people in the house and will snuggle with anyone who lets her. We feed her in her kennel and she lays in it very politely until you let her out. She is fully house trained and never had an accident. We have cats in the house and she mostly avoids them, but they avoid her as well. She may chase though, as she can hunt outside with ease (r.i.p. bird). She is nervous in the car and we haven't taken her on many walks. She absolutely doesn't like raised voices and will try to hide or get away. She loves to patrol the yard and say hi to the neighbor dogs. Carla sleeps well all night and will raise the alarm if she thinks someone suspicious is near. Overall, she is the sweetest dog. She loves the puppy and has attached to him. My older much larger dogs usually get ignored.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $550.00

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs please go to www.ndlbrescue.org and submit an application for adoption. Please check out our website for any questions you may have before emailing us.
Adoption Application and Contract are required. If adopted dog is under 4 months old, a spay/neuter contract is required along with a spay/neuter deposit. Before the dog will be placed in the potential adopter's home, a home visit will be required. Adoption fees range from $125.00-$650.00 but are listed with every dog.

We are a 99% volunteer and foster run 501c3 non-profit rescue, operating in the state of Minnesota. We do not have a facility. All of our dogs are in private loving homes until they are adopted.
