My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet KATY – Your Loyal Adventure Buddy & Snuggle Queen!

Looking for a best friend who’s always up for an adventure and down to snuggle? Meet KATY, a 2-year-old yellow Lab mix who’s equal parts outdoor explorer and devoted cuddle bug.

KATY is a water-loving girl who could spend hours splashing, sniffing, and searching for frogs and toads. When she’s not on amphibian patrol, you’ll likely find her camped out under the tallest tree—quietly watching squirrels with intense focus and tail-wagging anticipation.

She’s house trained, well-mannered, and not at all destructive. KATY loves playing with other dogs and truly thrives when she’s with her people. Whether it’s riding shotgun in the truck, heading out on a hike, or curling up next to you in bed (if she’s allowed—she sure hopes so!), KATY is happiest when she’s by your side.

She does pull a bit on leash, but it’s just because she’s so excited to explore the world. With a little practice, she’ll make an excellent walking or hiking companion.

If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate, and loyal dog who's ready to jump in the truck and ride off into the sunset with you, KATY is your girl!

Apply to meet her today—adventure (and snuggles) await!

KATY is available for adoption in New England, NY, NJ, and PA.

More about this rescue

A Lab for Life (ALL) provides a compassionate life-line to abandoned dogs that includes a safe haven, medical care by a licensed veterinarian, nutrition (food) and a fur-ever family through adoption. ALL promotes the humane treatment of animals in the community.

ALL was founded in July 2020 by a group of dog advocates in central Oklahoma and
Northeastern US after some had been volunteering with an out of state rescue for over 5 years. That experience solidified a local organization was needed. ALL formed to rescue as many stray, homeless and owner surrendered dogs as possible by partnering with many state-wide shelters and rescue operations. In addition to transferring homeless dogs from the shelters, fostering them in temporary homes and adopting them out, we also provide behavioral and medical resources to people who are considering surrendering their dog in an effort to keep the dog in their homes and out of the shelter/rescue system.
ALL operates under the 5 freedoms for animal welfare.
We are a brand new organization and welcome donations!
