Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet gorgeous DARCY!
Darcy is a one year old lab mix who found herself homeless on the streets of San Antonio. When she was spotted, she was in an advanced state of pregnancy, and there were a lot of concerned people commenting about her on NextDoor. A Good Samaritan picked her up, and A Lab for Life agreed to step up for her. Darcy’s foster picked her up in San Antonio, and drove her home to Kerrville. Less than an hour after they arrived home, Darcy delivered the first of ten healthy puppies! At the first vet visit one week after she delivered, we discovered Darcy was only 8-10 months old.
The puppies are raised, and now it’s Darcy’s time to find a loving home. Darcy is an affectionate girl who loves human interaction, with both children and adults. She barks at the cat she lives with, and has not been allowed to be face to face with her, so a home without cats or small animals would be best.
Darcy loves chew bones, and squeaky toys, and will entertain herself for hours with them. She is truly a special girl who will add love and joy to your home.

More about this rescue
A Lab for Life (ALL) provides a compassionate life-line to abandoned dogs that includes a safe haven, medical care by a licensed veterinarian, nutrition (food) and a fur-ever family through adoption. ALL promotes the humane treatment of animals in the community.
ALL was founded in July 2020 by a group of dog advocates in central Oklahoma and
Northeastern US after some had been volunteering with an out of state rescue for over 5 years. That experience solidified a local organization was needed. ALL formed to rescue as many stray, homeless and owner surrendered dogs as possible by partnering with many state-wide shelters and rescue operations. In addition to transferring homeless dogs from the shelters, fostering them in temporary homes and adopting them out, we also provide behavioral and medical resources to people who are considering surrendering their dog in an effort to keep the dog in their homes and out of the shelter/rescue system.
ALL operates under the 5 freedoms for animal welfare.
We are a brand new organization and welcome donations!
