My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chispa is a wonderful marshmallow of a dog with a beautiful white coat with perfectly toasty brown spots. Like a toasted marshmallow, he’s full of gooey sweetness, best taken slowly, to savor every bit! Chispa is a little nervous in the shelter, but his volunteer friends will tell you that with a little time, he shows that he is FULL OF LOVE!

“Chispa is a sweet and gentle angel baby! When I met him in his kennel he was gentle, easy to leash up, patient and sweet! Once in the play yard he was the sweetest little velcro dog, sitting right next to my side for cuddles. He would occasionally prance around the yard, but like a magnet, always came back to me. He`s playful and so sweet!”

“Chispa is a tender babydoll. I had him out in a play yard today and at first he was shaking, he was feeling so scared, but he stuck by my side and we snuggled and he gained some confidence and relaxed. At one point I made a fast movement which scared him and he skittered away, but he then came right back to me, seeking affection and attention. We spent a good 10 minutes just sitting together, enjoying the morning. He’s a great boy.”

Chispa has shared his kennel politely with another dog in his time in the shelter. He mainly keeps to himself in playgroup with lots of dogs and prefers just to explore. He’d like to meet any potential furry roommates to ensure a good fit before heading home.

If your life is in need of some sweetness, Chispa is the guy for you! Come meet him today!
