My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cain is a super handsome, affectionate and friendly boy who has a reputation for being a VGB (that’s Very Good Boy). Here’s what one volunteer at the shelter said:

“Cain was calm in kennel and leashed easily. I took him to a yard where he explored a bit and then came up for pets and snugs while I was sitting on the bench. He is just a sweet and gentle boy! His tail rarely stopped wagging. We tried sit but I wonder if his hip prevents him from wanting to do that. Then I tried paw/shake and he looked at my hand like “why is it empty?” and licked my palm. He takes treats gently but catches them midair with the accuracy one might expect from a senior citizen with cataracts. He has the cutest cattle dog socks on his front feet: crew length on his left front, ankle on his right front and no-show sport mode on both his hind. Before we returned, we both hung out against the brick wall, side by side, watching the world go by like the cool kids from The Breakfast Club, and he is one cool dude!! A hidden gem for sure.”

Cain shares his kennel with another PACC pp and has been easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He needs an FHO surgery to help with some hip issues, which PACC will take care of, and needs a place where he can recover. Please ask to meet Cain today!!
