__________

Leah has come a long way — from a high-kill shelter in Georgia to a loving foster home in Wisconsin, this sweet girl is finally getting the chance she deserves. Now, she’s ready for the next step: a forever family to call her own!

Leah is a friendly, curious, and affectionate pup who’s adjusting beautifully to home life. Her foster says she’s an active girl with a playful spirit and a personality that’s really starting to shine. She’s already showing signs she’ll grow into a tall and lean beauty!

Leah enjoys being outside exploring the yard, but also loves her crate — especially when it’s full of her favorite toys, which she proudly hoards like a little treasure trove. She’s working on potty training and doing well — she prefers to go outside when given the chance and is catching on quickly. Like any typical puppy, she can be a little mouthy at times, but she’s learning fast and responding well to guidance. She is a higher energy girl who is ready for an adventure like hiking, going for walks, camping trips, etc.

Despite her rough start (she came into rescue with some minor, healed scars on her back and legs), Leah is full of life and love. Those old wounds haven’t slowed her down one bit — her spirit is intact, her tail wags are strong, and she’s ready for a bright future.

If you're looking for a smart, spirited pup to grow with your family, Leah could be the perfect match. Come meet this gem and see for yourself!

Breed: Black Lab mix
Age: about 3 months
Gender: Female (spayed)
Weight: ~12 lbs
Good with dogs, cats, kids (typical puppy)

Transport is scheduled for September 6 to Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Please reach out if you’re interested in fostering or adopting Leah. Giving her a place in your home could save her life.
