My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gwen, a delightful 2-year-old spayed husky mix who seems to love everyone she meets 🐺💖. Playful, friendly, and oh-so-gentle, she’s the kind of girl who brings sunshine to any room—up for a game, down for snuggles, and always ready to flash that beautiful smile ✨🐾. With her sweet temperament and eager-to-please vibe, Gwen has all the makings of an easy companion and a fantastic adventure buddy—think neighborhood strolls, weekend wanders, and cozy movie nights after. 🥾🌲🎬

Gwen could thrive in many different kinds of homes, as long as she gets love, guidance, and time to settle in 💛. Like all our pups, she’ll need an adjustment period to get comfortable and learn your routines—patience and consistency go a long way 🏡⏳. She looks like a husky mix to us, but breed is always a best-guess based on appearance; we can’t know (or promise) her exact heritage 🧩. And just a heads-up: we can’t guarantee whether she’ll be hypoallergenic or if she’ll shed—every dog is unique 🌬️✨. Ready to say “yes” to a gentle, joyful companion? Gwen’s ready to meet you! 🐶🌟

More about this rescue

The vision of Animal Compassion Team has been years in the making, shaped by hard work, heartbreak, and an unwavering love for animals. Despite the challenges, we chose this path because saving lives matters—it's that simple. Every dog, cat, and animal we rescue reaffirms our commitment to making a difference. In August 2009, we took a leap of faith and became a 501(c)3 non-profit, ready to turn hope into action. Each life saved makes every effort worthwhile, and we look forward to sharing countless happy endings.

Our Mission Statement
To provide a safe haven for animals of all breeds and species through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary. To advocate for humane treatment, promote the human-animal bond, and educate about kindness, compassion, and responsible pet ownership, emphasizing spaying and neutering. Together with other rescues and shelters, we strive toward a no-kill nation.
