Meet Rusty, a 4-year-old Husky with a heart as big as his spirit! At just 35 pounds, he’s on the petite side for his breed, but don’t let his size fool you—he’s packed full of charm, energy, and love 💙. Rusty may have spent his early years navigating the streets alongside his sister and some neighborhood pals, but those days are behind him now. He’s embracing his fresh start with an open heart and tail wags galore, ready to be someone’s devoted and joyful companion.
Rusty is pure personality—plus, plus, plus! This bright-eyed boy is friendly with other dogs and genuinely enjoys their company. He’s still a little rusty when it comes to leash walking (pun intended 🐾), but he’s giving it his all and learning to feel safe with every step. With a little patience and a lot of love, he’s going to get there—and it’ll be so worth it. He’s the kind of dog who tries hard to please, and his gentle effort is truly heart-melting.
Neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, Rusty is ready for his happily ever after. He’s a sweetheart who just wants to be loved and to share that love in return. If you’re looking for a loyal, soulful companion with a soft spot for belly rubs and second chances, Rusty might just be your new best friend 🐶💫.

More about this rescue
The vision of Animal Compassion Team has been years in the making, shaped by hard work, heartbreak, and an unwavering love for animals. Despite the challenges, we chose this path because saving lives matters—it's that simple. Every dog, cat, and animal we rescue reaffirms our commitment to making a difference. In August 2009, we took a leap of faith and became a 501(c)3 non-profit, ready to turn hope into action. Each life saved makes every effort worthwhile, and we look forward to sharing countless happy endings.
Our Mission Statement
To provide a safe haven for animals of all breeds and species through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary. To advocate for humane treatment, promote the human-animal bond, and educate about kindness, compassion, and responsible pet ownership, emphasizing spaying and neutering. Together with other rescues and shelters, we strive toward a no-kill nation.
