Kanga is approximately 9 months old and 55 lbs. He was found with his brother, Roo.
Kanga's foster tells us he is a sweetheart. He is housetrained, crate-trained, and very food/treat motivated. He lives up to his name and is always jumping up to say hi. Kanga is also pretty sure he's meant to be a lap dog.
Kanga is a big chewer, but he’s easy to redirect from shoes and dog beds to chew toys. He gets along great with his foster sister.
Kanga came to us with scars and puncture wounds. Despite a traumatic past, he is loving, trusting, and resilient. He has been vaccinated and heartworm tested and will be microchipped and neutered. He is also on heartworm and flea prevention and has been dewormed.

Additional adoption info
All of our dogs and cats are fully vetted prior to adoption - spayed/neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated and tested for heartworm (dogs) or FIV/FeLV (cats).
To adopt an animal from us, you will be required to complete an adoption application. When your completed application is returned to us, we will conduct a criminal background check, verify home ownership or landlord permission, check with any veterinary references and conduct a home check. Then pay adoption fee.
Please note that our adoption contract for cats has a NO DECLAW clause.

More about this rescue
We are a small non-profit rescue focused on the 4.77 square mile town of Speedway, Indiana, home of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Our goal is to make Speedway a no-kill town where every animal is spayed/neutered, microchipped and properly cared for. We rescue all animals taken to the town's Animal Control facility. We assist owners in need with veterinary care and food/supplies. We help trap-neuter-release feral cat colonies and socialize/adopt kittens under 3 months old.
Due to limited resources, we are unable to accept animals from outside the town's boundaries at this time.
