My foster writes:
Misty is an extremely special dog. She has the biggest heart and wears it on her sleeve. She is excited to meet every person and every dog, she loves treats, and sleeps like a champ (I often have to wake her up myself to start the day!). She has no separation anxiety and greets you at the door with one of her stuffies, just excited to see you. She has no stranger danger and doesn't bark (except on rare occasions when she really wants to play with a dog who isn't interested in her!). She's an absolute delight.
There is an adorable video of me on social media!
Click here to experience the cuteness! What my friends at ACC say about me:
My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!
I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.
I need a home without cats or small animals.
I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some canine body language together!
I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.
My #BoroughBreak Buddy Writes: Misty is the sweetest, most gentle soul you'll ever have the pleasure of walking. I had the joy of taking her out on a BoroughBreak, and she was an absolute delight from start to finish. Calm and loving, Misty walked beautifully on leash, never pulling-just enjoying the sunshine and soft breeze with quiet grace. She lit up for treats and gave the warmest tail wags to everyone we passed. Misty was wonderfully composed around other dogs, showing only friendly interest and a desire to play. She's a true family dog-great with kids, affectionate with people, and full of that soft, steady energy that makes a house feel like home. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a heart full of love and a peaceful spirit, Misty is the girl for you. Let her be your sunshine every day. 🌞🐾
A volunteer writes: Misty is exactly our type. A 10 year old senior grandma, with lots of spunk. She's ready for mall walking, 4 pm happy hours, and adult only resort vacations. She has ears that always lean to her left.
Misty was found loose in a Kissena Park in Queens with a leash and collar but no owner in sight. When we meet Misty, she hops right into the pool. She's not wasting any time outside on this warm day, and gently splishes and splashes while she cools off. After she finishes her swim time, Misty plops down with a stuffed piggie in the yard. Misty will need some medical follow up for a few masses she has. She is clearly a delight and a bright light that deserves to shine for whatever time she has left.
