My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Marlowe — calm, kind, and quietly charming.

At 6 months old and 34 pounds, this San Antonio Special is the perfect mix of sweet and mellow. Marlowe loves gentle playtime with his doggy friends, splashing in the water on warm days, and curling up close when it’s time to relax.

He’s friendly, easy to please, and happiest just being near his people. Marlowe’s laid-back nature makes him an easy fit for almost any home — he’s the kind of pup who brings a little peace wherever he goes.

Come meet Marlowe — your loyal, loving companion is waiting.

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
