Meet Pretty — Your Sassy, Sweet Senior Sidekick! Age: 8 • Breed: Tan American Pit Bull Terrier
I’m Pretty, an older gal looking for a calm, loving home. I can be a little sassy, but I adore my people—especially if they have snackies! (I take treats like an alligator, so small hands aren’t ideal.)
I love pets and will happily plop next to you for cuddles. My stumpy little legs stick out when I lie down, and I sometimes roll onto my back for belly rubs. Life hasn’t always been easy, but foster care has helped me flourish! I’m house trained, quiet in my crate, and I only chew my toys.
I enjoy calm walks, though I may pretend to be tired if something smells good—don’t fall for my tricks! I snort a little and snore lightly, but I promise it’s part of my charm.
If you’re looking for a mellow senior dog who will bring love, laughter, and cuddles, I’m your gal!
Text my foster at 505.600.1443 for more info or photos.
Adoption fees are currently waived! All pets are spay/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped!

More about this shelter
The City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department’s mission is to protect and serve the pets and people of Albuquerque by providing Caregiving, Awareness, Resources, Enforcement and Service excellence.
AWD is always in need of foster homes for our pets who need time to grow, recovery from illness or injury or in need of a break from the shelter. Foster homes increase our capacity to provide services to homeless pets in our community. If you would like to donate toys, towels and milk-bones are always in need. Volunteer opportunities are also available at our shelters.
