Meet Dallas, a beautiful Great Dane and German Shorthaired Pointer mix She’s the perfect blend of playful and laid-back—always ready for a good romp with her toys or dog friends, but just as happy to curl up for a nap on the couch or the floor. Dallas has that classic goofy Dane charm, complete with silly head tilts, funny vocalizations, and her endearing habit of nudging you with her nose when she wants attention. She adores both men and women, loves her treats, and never turns down pets and kisses.
Dallas is moderately active and does well with a backyard to play and explore, though she also settles down nicely indoors. She does great with other dogs—big or medium—and would love the company of another dog in her new home, though she would also be content as the only pet. Cats, however, are not her thing, as she finds them far too fun to chase. Around new people, she may be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, her sweet and silly personality shines. She also gets along well with older kids and teens.
This smart girl is house trained but does best when given a little extra time outside to take care of business. She roams the house without issue, rides beautifully in the car, and even does well at the groomer. While she’s still learning some manners, like not counter surfing, she’s making great progress with consistency.
Dallas is looking for a patient and loving home that will give her the time she needs to adjust. Once she knows she’s safe and loved, she blossoms into the most loyal, affectionate, and downright funny companion. If you’re looking for a gentle, goofy dog who will keep you laughing and be right by your side, Dallas might just be the perfect fit.

More about this rescue
To rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment while providing medical care and individual rehabilitation through our experienced and loving foster home program until we are able to provide each rescued Dane with a qualified, caring, and permanent home that will ensure a good quality of life they deserve.
To assist owners that cannot afford spaying, neutering or heartworm treatment as funds allow while also educating owners on affordable, local spay/neuter clinics, spay/neuter benefits, vaccinations, backyard breeding, behavior, nutrition, and obedience. Additionally, we want to be a link point to other rescues and clubs. Raising awareness around rescues and the Great Dane breed is of great importance to us.
We have been rescuing Great Danes since 2011 and we take pride in the collective love, concern, and dedication we have given to the misunderstood and forgotten Danes. It is our mission to continue to be the voices of the less fortunate Danes and to provide them safety and their birthright to a quality of life filled with love and dignity. You can help us achieve our mission by donating funds, items from our wishlist, items of relevance, your time through volunteering, or by lending your home as a foster.
