Ava is a young and very active pup. She needs a family that understands she needs exercise and training. She has grown up in in a home with other kids and dogs but she is cautious with people she doesn't know.
She is located in Atlanta, GA. Transportation, if route is availabe, can be arranged and cost is part of the adoption fee or adopter may come to Atlanta for pick up.

Temperament: Gets along with other dogs, kids and adults
Training: Housetrained, crate-trained
Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative

To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.

We are 100% volunteer/foster based, so we do ask that you complete an adoption application in order for us to schedule a phone interview.

After reviewing your application, we'll contact you to determine if dog is a good fit for your lifestyle and home.
Approve Application
We check vet and personal references to ensure previous dogs were well cared for, so please be thorough in providing this info.
Home Check
This enables the dog to get to know you and your home and for us to suggest anything they may need to be successful in your home.
Sign Adoption Contract
You would also pay the fee at this time, however, we offer a 2 week trial period before cashing your check. We will always take dogs back.
