My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dog is not at the shelter.

Meet Kaia – a beautiful 4-year-old female German Shepherd/Husky mix (black and white).

✔️ Spayed/Neutered: No
✔️ Vaccines: Current
✔️ Potty trained: Yes
✔️ Crate trained: Yes

Kaia has been with her family since she was a puppy. She is a loving, friendly dog who enjoys being primarily indoors with her people. She has lived with kids and does well with them. When visitors come over, Kaia is excited and may jump up in greeting.

Her owner describes her as affectionate and social, but Kaia will need someone who is committed to continuing her training—especially to help her walk politely on leash without pulling. She thrives with attention, structure, and consistency.

Kaia is healthy, up to date on vaccines, and ready for a home where she will be loved and guided.

If you are interested in adopting Kaia, please contact her owner, Brianna, directly:

All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

*The shelter is currently open for adoptions by appointment only. Please email us at adoptycas@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting.
For other shelter services, please call us at (530) 668-5287*

To adopt you must have a photo ID and proof of your current address. If not on your ID then bring in a bill with your name and your current address. If you rent you must provide a lease clearly stating the pet policy or provide a name and phone number for your landlord so that we may confirm the pet policy. If you own your home you may provide a mortgage statement or property tax bill for proof.

You must be 18 years or older to adopt.

If you wish to adopt a dog and have other dog(s) at home, please bring them with you to the shelter so that they may meet. Even if your dog is wonderful with other dogs, many of the dogs at the shelter have come in as strays so we have no history on them and need to be sure they get along with your pet(s).

If you have any other questions, please go to www.yolocountysheriff.com or call the shelter for more information.
