Vidia is a sweetheart! She loves her people and her canine companions. She prefers to stay close enough to keep an eye on what you are doing but isn’t overly clingy. She does get under your feet when she is worried though. She is shy with new people at first but always friendly. She is pretty curious so with a little time she makes friends with strangers and she has been doing fine at Clubhound hanging out with all kinds of people and dogs.
She is pretty calm and quiet most of the time though she will let you know if something outside sounds worrisome. She is easy to manage and live with.
Because of the large number of homeless dogs, adoptions are very slow all over, and poor Vidia and her siblings have been in a kennel like environment since birth. Only recently did a short term foster home open up for some socialization and she has proven her wonderful, adaptable personality and resilience and adjusted well.
Vidia is still a bit behind on house training but once she learned to use the doggie door she got better. She is slowly getting used to the leash. She is getting more comfortable with going in the car. She is crate trained and will go in willingly for treats but isn’t a big fan of it.
By joining her foster mom and the dogs in her foster home on adventures, Vidia has discovered that she enjoys hiking and you really see her happy, bounce side there. She doesn’t run far as she wants to know where you are but will still get in some good running and sniffing. She would most likely do great camping.
Female, her breeds according to her dna results are 41.9 % American Bull Terrier, 22% Lab, 19.6% German Shepherd, 8.3% American Bulldog, 8.2 English Bulldog.

Since we are a foster based rescue and don’t have a shelter all meet and greets must be scheduled and walk-ins are not an option. We will travel throughout the Treasure Valley and surrounding areas/states if that means the dog will find their forever home! When we host adoption/community events we will always post them on our Facebook Page Northern Star Dog Rescue.

More about this rescue
We are Northern Star Dog Rescue, a completely foster based non profit dog rescue! We specifically pull all of our dogs from the euthanasia list (most are there due to no fault of their own) and dogs that are homeless or in bad housing conditions. We take them in and place them in foster homes until we can find them their forever homes! We do what we do because our team has a STRONG love for animals especially those that are in dire situations.
