Nixie may be a petite girl, but her personality is growing bigger every day now that she’s out of the shelter and enjoying the comfort of a loving foster home. Shelter life was stressful for this sensitive senior, and it sometimes made her seem wary or unsure around new people. But in a calm, supportive environment, she’s blossoming into the sweet, gentle dog she truly is.
In her foster home, Nixie is doing wonderfully — she’s even getting along great with her doggy foster sibling! Having a steady companion and a peaceful space has helped her relax and start to come out of her shell. Nixie is looking for an adopter who can continue offering her the patience and quiet routine that help her feel safe. She’s not suited for busy, high-traffic households just yet, but she thrives somewhere calm where she can warm up at her own pace.
If you have a peaceful home, a soft spot for sensitive pups, and the patience to let Nixie’s trust grow naturally, she will reward you with gentle companionship and loyal affection.
Could your calm, loving home be the safe haven Nixie has been waiting for? Apply to meet her today!
