My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Nellie is an 18-month-old Pit Bull Terrier mix that weighs 45 lbs. She is a sweet, energetic pup who’s come a long way in a short time. She spent much of her early life isolated in a bathroom, often for days at a time. Her former owner recognized they couldn’t care for her, so she was surrendered to a friend of the rescue.

Despite her rough start and limited socialization, Nellie is incredibly loving. She’s got plenty of energy for runs or hikes but is just as happy lounging on the couch soaking up belly rubs. She’s currently in a foster home with two large male bully breeds and has done well living with other dogs.

Nellie would thrive in a home with experience handling power breeds and someone committed to continuing her training. She’s friendly but doesn’t always recognize her strength, so a home without young kids is best.

Adoption Fee Info: Adoption fee is $575 and includes current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test when applicable. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.

Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org

Animal History: Nellie found herself in need of rescue when her owner would disappear for days at a time without providing adequate arangments for her care. She was surrendered to a friend of the rescue, and after evaluating her are helping her find the home she deserves.
