My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ringo! 🐾💛

Ringo is a handsome 10-year-old Dutch Shepherd mix with a heart as sweet as can be. This very nice boy is calm, gentle, and ready to spend his golden years surrounded by love and comfort. At this stage in life, Ringo isn’t looking for adventure — he’s looking for cozy naps, peaceful walks, and kind people to share his days with.

Because he’s a senior, Ringo qualifies for our Silver Paws VIP Program, which helps make adopting older pets even easier. He’s the kind of dog who will be forever grateful for a soft bed, a caring hand, and a family who sees the treasure he truly is.

If you’ve been thinking about opening your heart to a senior sweetheart, Ringo is patiently waiting to meet you. 🏡💖

I qualify for the Silver Paws VIP Program. Do you? If you're 65 or older, we could be the perfect match! As part of this special program, Gulf Coast Humane Society waives the adoption fee and provides free veterinary care through our wellness clinic. It’s our way of supporting lifelong companionship. More about this shelter

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to serving the animals and community of Southwest Florida. We receive no federal, state, or county funding, nor do we receive financial support from the Humane Society of the United States. Instead, our lifesaving work is made possible through the generosity of individual donations, grants, bequests, and community fundraising efforts.

As a no kill shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to providing compassionate care for unwanted, neglected, and abandoned animals. We never euthanize due to space constraints or the length of time an animal has been in our care. Our mission is to give every animal the second chance they deserve in a safe and loving environment.
