All the residents were concerned with his safety as he frolicked and wandered about sometimes chasing a wild rabbit.
He is of the Hotot breed. He is a quite small rabbit that is very sensitive.
Augie is a very sweet gentle reserved rabbit
He will take kisses on his nose and even puts his nose out so you can kiss him
He takes gentle pets on the head but is very fearful when having to be picked up. A kiss or massage is his thing but not handling and his adopters would need to be respectful of that. Gentle slow hands would be best for Augie.
He is a very active agile rabbit that will need plenty of space to run and jump.
He is young and energetic. He loves his greens and pellets and is always ready to eat and partly because he is young.

In addition to on line contact, we hold frequent adoption events. We are always open to meeting approved adopters just about 7 days a week. Sometimes our process starts with step 3, then goes to 1 or 2. We like to let if evolve organically!

We hold adoption events each month in Manhattan on 26th Street where we showcase about 20 rabbits. Folks can learn about rabbit care, meet and pet the rabbits. Rabbit guardians can bring their rabbits for grooming by donation. For those rabbit guardians who understand the bonding process, we conduct rabbit speed dates to see who gets the rose.
Our Manhattan events are always on a Sunday from 1130 to 230. They are held at a clean spacious dance studio.
It is open to the public.

We are a very devoted active team of rescuers and fosters who love and adore the rabbits. We will always take in a sick or lame rabbit and get it the vet care it needs.
We are very serious about our adoptions and adopters need to be updated in the latest rabbit care as well as be financially able and willing to handle vet care as needed.
