My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Flash is a small, spunky, energetic athlete that loves to hop on top of things for a better look around. His foster family says when he's not leaping for joy, he's flopping dramatically almost into a somersault! He will dazzle you with his acrobatics, providing endless entertainment. Who knew this much exuberance and personality could come in such a small adorable package?

He is very happy to be out and about but definitely not a snuggler. He does not like to be touched, but you can love him from afar. He usually gets annoyed if you enter his pen while he is inside. Therefore we suggest you invite him out before going in to clean. He can be a grump, especially if you mess with his belongings... like an old guy that grumbles and then chases you off his lawn. Through trial and error, we have found that he is happier in a more open living situation. We feel he would be a great free roam rabbit in the right home.

His attitude is part of his charm
Flash only weighs about 3 lbs, but thinks he is much bigger. We seek a home that will respect his boundaries and independent nature. Not recommended for young children. He is a better match for adults with patience and a sense of humor. Due to his territorial nature, he may not be easy to bond with another rabbit. We believe he would do best as a one-and-only spoiled single.

He has received the RHVD vaccine.

The adoption fee is $95

Additional adoption info

In addition to on line contact, we hold frequent adoption events. We are always open to meeting approved adopters just about 7 days a week. Sometimes our process starts with step 3, then goes to 1 or 2. We like to let if evolve organically!

Go meet their pets

We hold adoption events each month in Manhattan on 26th Street where we showcase about 20 rabbits. Folks can learn about rabbit care, meet and pet the rabbits. Rabbit guardians can bring their rabbits for grooming by donation. For those rabbit guardians who understand the bonding process, we conduct rabbit speed dates to see who gets the rose.

Our Manhattan events are always on a Sunday from 1130 to 230. They are held at a clean spacious dance studio.
It is open to the public.

More about this rescue

We are a very devoted active team of rescuers and fosters who love and adore the rabbits. We will always take in a sick or lame rabbit and get it the vet care it needs.

We are very serious about our adoptions and adopters need to be updated in the latest rabbit care as well as be financially able and willing to handle vet care as needed.
