My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Indie is a medium to large sized ball of black fluff.
He is almost 2 years old and is an athletic bun who loves to roam and explore.
He loves to hang out on the arm of the foster's couch.
He has been seen sleeping on his back with his legs in the air and will wiggle them when he is dreaming.

Indie is into construction and destruction of chew toys and card board boxes.
He needs a home where he can run free and the space will need to be rabbit proofed.

Indie will come with his litter box enclosure, wooden house, tunnel & favorite box of hay & treats.

His favorite greens are dill, carrot tops, dandelion and kale.
His favorite fruit is Apple and blueberries.
He loves to be scratched on the neck behind the ears, and you can run your hands down his whole body

He always needs a mat that he can chew on underneath his house. He would do best with a partner bun and has gone on some speed dates and done well.

Additional adoption info

In addition to on line contact, we hold frequent adoption events. We are always open to meeting approved adopters just about 7 days a week. Sometimes our process starts with step 3, then goes to 1 or 2. We like to let if evolve organically!

Go meet their pets

We hold adoption events each month in Manhattan on 26th Street where we showcase about 20 rabbits. Folks can learn about rabbit care, meet and pet the rabbits. Rabbit guardians can bring their rabbits for grooming by donation. For those rabbit guardians who understand the bonding process, we conduct rabbit speed dates to see who gets the rose.

Our Manhattan events are always on a Sunday from 1130 to 230. They are held at a clean spacious dance studio.
It is open to the public.

More about this rescue

We are a very devoted active team of rescuers and fosters who love and adore the rabbits. We will always take in a sick or lame rabbit and get it the vet care it needs.

We are very serious about our adoptions and adopters need to be updated in the latest rabbit care as well as be financially able and willing to handle vet care as needed.
