Meet Ernie, an estimated 7-month-old hound mix weighing in at 38.2 lbs! Ernie is the definition of a happy-go-lucky pup—playful, curious, and always ready to make a new friend. He’s currently sharing his shelter space with his brother, Bert, and the two get along wonderfully.
Ernie has all the joyful energy you’d expect from a puppy his age. He’ll need a family committed to giving him the basic training and structure that young dogs thrive on. With his sweet nature, we think he’ll do well with kids, though his goofy puppy energy might be a little much for the tiniest tots.

His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
