My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Timothy | Male | 6 years | German Shepherd
Timothy is a classic shepherd with a soft heart and steady soul. He bonds closely with “his people,” greeting them with happy tail wags and leaning in for ear scratches. At six, he’s mature and calm but still enjoys a good game of fetch and a sniffy walk. Timothy knows basic cues, is eager to please, and settles nicely in the home. He’ll do best with adopters who appreciate shepherd smarts and will keep his mind engaged with gentle training, enrichment, and routine.

Timothy would love:

Daily walks and quality time with his family

A stable home that offers structure and positive reinforcement

Mental enrichment (training games, puzzle feeders, nose work)

A comfy bed close to where his people are

Could be a fit for: most homes that understand the GSD breed. If you have resident pets or kids, we’ll help with slow, thoughtful introductions.

More about this rescue

We hope to ease the problem of population overflow occurring in many of our shelters today. WGSR educates the individual on the importance of sterilizing the pet and providing superior care.

WGSR is composed of a network of foster families and volunteers. We are always in need of more foster care providers with the time and commitment necessary to care for these animals in transition. We are also in need of volunteers who can shuttle dogs from shelters and other sites to our foster homes.
