Coco Puff is house trained, crate trained, and learning to trust the world one pawstep at a time. When she first arrived at her foster home, she was scared of everything—people, sounds, even kindness. But behind that nervous exterior was a curious spirit, following her foster family from a distance, watching, learning, and slowly beginning to believe that love is safe.

About Coco Puff’s Breed:
Shepherds are one of the most iconic and versatile dog breeds – known for their intelligence, loyalty, and courage. They excel in obedience, agility, and complex tasks, and are known for their bravery and steady temperament. Shepherds, like Coco Puff are fiercely devoted to their families and can be naturally alert. They need regular stimulation and exercise to thrive. They do best in homes with structure, training, and purpose and need space to move, making a fenced/secured yard and regular outdoor time essential.

Coco Puff’s Journey:
• Shy but curious—she warms up with patience and gentle encouragement
• Loves other dogs—especially her foster siblings, who help her feel safe
• High energy outdoors, but a mellow cuddlebug indoors
• Scared of leashes, so a fenced yard is essential for her comfort and safety
• Uses her crate as a cozy retreat when she needs a break
• Knows basic commands like “sit,” and is eager to learn more once she trusts you
• Treat-motivated and learning that good things come from kind hands

Coco Puff’s Ideal Home:
Coco Puff is looking for a quiet, loving home with someone who will start at the beginning—who understands that trust takes time, and that the reward is a loyal, beautiful companion who will blossom in your care. She’d love a doggie friend to show her the ropes and a human who sees her not for where she is now, but for the incredible dog she’s becoming.

If you believe in second chances and the magic of patience, Coco Puff is ready to write her next chapter—with you.
