Marigold is an absolute bundle of love who will brighten anyone’s day. Found as a sick stray, you’d never know it—she’s the happiest, silliest, friendliest, cuddliest, and most adorably uncoordinated girl around. 💛
Margie is all about the good things in life:
🧸 LOVES her stuffy toys
🐾 Greets every person and dog she meets on walks
😴 Is the champion of naps (she plays hard, then naps harder!)
🛏️ Sleeps soundly through the night at the foot of the bed
💦 Obsessed with water—showers, puddles, you name it!
Margie is also a smart cookie. She knows potty goes outside, and with a consistent schedule she’s essentially potty trained. She’s very treat motivated and already learning her name (we think!), “off,” and “sit” within just a few days.
While she’s gentle most of the time, when the zoomies hit, she can be a bit of a bowling ball—which is adorable but may be a little much for very young kids.
Marigold is ready to bring endless love, laughter, and cuddles to her forever family. Could she be the one for you?

Border Tails Rescue is a licensed no-kill animal rescue and welfare organization dedicated to the rescue and adoption of stray dogs across the world, with a unique focus on Mexico. Border Tails Rescue has a physical shelter facility with dogs on site for viewing everyday. Border Tails Rescue primarily works with rural shelters across the country, including but not limited to TX, AR, AL, LA, KY, IN, and MI on a regular basis as well as CACC, Chicago’s open intake shelter. BTR is Woman-founded by Harleigh Garcia, who was 20 years old at the time. The organization was founded in December of 2019 and Border Tails Rescue is registered with Illinois Secretary of State as a non profit organization. Border Tails Rescue operates entirely on donations and adoption fees.
