Meet Leena – Your New Walking Buddy & Cuddle Champion
Leena’s life could have ended on a busy road, but instead, it began there. Abandoned and terrified, she was nearly hit by the very person who would become her foster mom. Since that day, Leena has shown just how resilient and loving she truly is.
Once scared and unsure, Leena has blossomed into a happy, bouncy, affection-loving girl who simply can’t get enough attention. She thrives with people who engage with her — walks, playtime, and quality time are her love language.
At just one year old, Leena is already housebroken, crate trained, and eager to please. She’s playful and entertaining (she can happily play on her own!) but also adores cuddle time when the fun is done. Her joyful spirit and sweet personality make her an absolute delight to be around.
Leena doesn’t need much — just a family who will give her the attention, activity, and love she’s been waiting for. In return, she’ll give you loyalty, laughter, and a whole lot of heart.
All she’s missing now is her forever family. Could that be you?
Age: 1
Weight: 45 lbs
Temperament: Gets along with other dogs, older sturdy kids (she's an active big puppy)
Training: Housetrained, crate-trained
Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative
Email for questions: debbiejwharton@gmail.com
To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.
We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.
