Leena needs attention and I think she would do well with someone that will take her for walks and play with her.
Leena is such a precious girl considering her rough start in life. She was abandoned on a busy road and was almost hit by her now foster mom. She went from a scared, skiddish, untrusting girl to a happy, bouncy, can’t get enough loving little girl.
Leena is a young one year old, housebroken which she picked up very quickly, crate trained, very playful. She can play by herself which is very entertaining to watch. She loves her cuddle time. Leena is a complete joy to be around. All she needs now is her forever family.

Temperament: Gets along with other dogs, older sturdy kids (she's an active big puppy)
Training: Housetrained? crate-trained? obedience-trained?
Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative

To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.
We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.

After reviewing your application, we'll contact you to determine if dog is a good fit for your lifestyle and home.
Approve Application
We check vet and personal references to ensure previous dogs were well cared for, so please be thorough in providing this info.
Home Check
This enables the dog to get to know you and your home and for us to suggest anything they may need to be successful in your home.
Sign Adoption Contract
You would also pay the fee at this time, however, we offer a 2 week trial period before cashing your check. We will always take dogs back.
