My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nico’s Ready for His Second Chance! 🐶💙

Meet Nico — a sweet, medium-sized mixed breed pup who’s about 1 year old and ready to start the next chapter of his life. Nico was found as a stray and transferred into our care from animal control.

When he first arrived, he was extremely skinny and missing much of the fur on his back due to a flea allergy. With some love and care, Nico has made an incredible recovery and is now healthy, happy, and eager to meet his forever family!

Nico may have a bit of husky in him, and he definitely has that adventurous spirit. He’s playful, curious, and so excited for all the fun life has to offer. Nico is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped — all he’s missing is a family to share his love with.

After everything he’s been through, Nico deserves a home where he’ll always be safe, cared for, and loved. Could that home be yours? 🐾❤️

More about this shelter

The Animal Friends of Westmoreland is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless, abandoned and abused dogs and cats. It depends on donations, sponsorships and other tangible support from local residents and businesses.

Our vision is a self sustaining, no-kill shelter which will house the animals until they find their forever home. Additionally, it is our goal to breed awareness, stimulate education and inspire the public to become animal advocates.

The Animal Friends of Westmoreland is a voice for those that cannot speak. Join us in speaking for those that need us most . . . the animals.
