Nova’s story began as a stray picked up by animal control, but her journey didn’t end there. After transferring into our care, this beautiful girl started her road to recovery—and she’s now ready for a fresh start with a family of her own.
Nova appears to be a Cane Corso mix, though her full breed mix remains a mystery. What isn’t a mystery is her wonderful personality. She is very friendly, people-loving, and eager for attention, making fast friends wherever she goes. Nova also does well with other dogs, though a meet-and-greet with any potential canine siblings is required to ensure the best match for everyone.
Nova is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped, so she’s all set to head home and begin her next chapter.

The Animal Friends of Westmoreland is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless, abandoned and abused dogs and cats. It depends on donations, sponsorships and other tangible support from local residents and businesses.
Our vision is a self sustaining, no-kill shelter which will house the animals until they find their forever home. Additionally, it is our goal to breed awareness, stimulate education and inspire the public to become animal advocates.
