My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

💙 Meet Ace — A Brave Little Survivor Ready for a Fresh Start 💙

Ace is a 1-year-old Min Pin mix with a big heart and a story that will stay with you. Witnesses saw this sweet boy being abandoned on a quiet country road one night, left confused and frightened as the family he knew sped away. It’s no surprise that Ace needs a little time to trust new people — after all, we’d feel the same if the family we loved disappeared without us.

Once Ace realizes he’s safe, his gentle spirit shines. He warms up with patience, kindness, and calm companionship, and he’s so eager to build a bond with someone who won’t give up on him again.

Ace would do best in a home without young children, where he can feel secure and continue learning that the world can be kind. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations, ready to begin his next chapter.

If you believe in second chances and want to show Ace what real love looks like, he’s waiting for you. 💛🐾

More about this shelter

The Animal Friends of Westmoreland is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless, abandoned and abused dogs and cats. It depends on donations, sponsorships and other tangible support from local residents and businesses.

Our vision is a self sustaining, no-kill shelter which will house the animals until they find their forever home. Additionally, it is our goal to breed awareness, stimulate education and inspire the public to become animal advocates.

The Animal Friends of Westmoreland is a voice for those that cannot speak. Join us in speaking for those that need us most . . . the animals.
