Hi! My name is Camden and here is a little more about me:
My Journey I began my journey as a devoted young mama, raising five kittens on the streets. Thanks to a caring trapper and shelter, my kittens were safely rescued and adopted into loving homes. After I was spayed, the plan was for me to return outdoors—but it quickly became clear that I truly enjoy the company of people. Instead of going back outside, I was given the chance to experience indoor life, and I’ve been embracing it with enthusiasm.
My Social Life Other cats: I’ve spent my life looking out for myself on the streets, so I can be protective of my space. I’m still unsure how I feel about other cats and may prefer to be the only feline in the home—for now. Dogs: I haven’t met dogs yet, so I’m still figuring out how I feel about them. Kids: I would likely do best with older, gentle children who understand boundaries.
My Personality I’m observant, independent, and quietly confident. I know how to take care of myself, but I also enjoy human companionship and the comforts of indoor life. I have a playful streak and a strong sense of awareness—I like to know what’s happening around me and feel secure in my space.
I Enjoy… Lounging on a window perch and watching the world go by Wet food treats (they’re a favorite!) Playing with my circular track toy and expertly stopping the spinning ball mid-chase Calm, predictable routines that help me feel safe and settled
I’m Not a Fan Of… Feeling crowded or pressured by other cats Sudden changes without time to adjust A slow, respectful approach helps me feel comfortable and confident.
What Makes Me Special I’m a strong, loving mama who successfully raised her kittens against the odds—and now it’s my turn to be cared for. My impressive ball-chasing skills and sharp reflexes are pretty fun to watch, too!
My Perfect Home I’m looking for a calm, loving indoor home where I can enjoy being the center of attention. A home where I can be the only cat, relax on a sunny windowsill, and build trust at my own pace would be ideal. I’m so excited to start this next chapter of my life—and I can’t wait to share it with my forever family.

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
